DIY Floral Arranging

Have you ever looked for just the right piece for a renovation project?
You know….that finishing touch.
I recently renovated my powder room. I was looking for something special to put on the counter.
Well, I searched high and low. I shopped on-line and in stores. I went into the storage closet at home which holds many years of chachkies... Nothing. Nothing I saw felt right. So, I decided to create my own something. I know I have told you all before, I like using old and new things to complete a space and that’s what I did.
I set out to create a floral arrangement.

I found a container that I had saved from an old piece.

I gathered up some wire cutters and scissors. The container I used had styrofoam in it, but you will need to purchase that if the container you are using doesn’t have it.

I purchased some flowers to accent my space. Artificial flowers can be expensive, so I waited for a sale and then bought them. I saved 40%!
I have made many real floral arrangements but never really tackled the fake flower arrangement. Let me tell you, it was fun, not much different and really simple!
When I started, I cut the stems longer knowing that I could come back and adjust where I needed to. I used the leftover greenery, on the stems, to fill in between the flowers. I kept things proportionate and balanced and I am pleased with how it turned out.
What do you think?

If you can’t find that finishing touch, why not try to create it yourself!?
Peace and blessings,
Kim
