I have been trying to enjoy the last of our summer days, but with all the posts of pumpkins and such, I’ve had Fall on my mind. I put together a quick tablescape for Fall and thought I would share with all of you.
I love mixing old and new pieces into anything I decorate. It keeps your cost down and adds a certain feel to the design.
A few weekends ago, my husband and I went to an antique mall on the west side of the state. It was fabulous! Some of you already know that I have a LOVE for dishes. While we were there, I spotted these Currier and Ives plates for $4 each. They are entitled “The Old Grist Mill”. You may think they look a bit wintry, but the name intrigues me, the color was perfect, and I have been anxious to use them.
I think they are perfect for my fall design!
I bought burlap chargers from my local craft store. Burlap chargers!! Who knew? They were only $1.19 each and I can think of so many ways to use them. So worth the purchase!!
Don’t you agree?
The striped napkins are neutral in color so they can be used for many different settings.
I used a plain linen table runner.
The napkin rings say “Blessed” and I sure feel that way! It was only right that I use those.
The glasses came from my mother. She gave them to me when we were cleaning out her house to sell. I don’t know how old they are, but I can remember her using them when I was little. They have leaves on them so I felt they were definitely appropriate!
I put the centerpiece together in literally five minutes. I bought three white pumpkins the last time I went grocery shopping and started with those. I added some greenery, some wooden pieces and a little pop of yellow, that I already had. Simple, festive and inexpensive.
This is my simple tablescape. One for everyday living.
I hope I’ve shown you how easy it is to gather new and old items to create an inviting space.
I really enjoy putting together a pretty table.
I hope my guests who come enjoy it, too.
Peace and Blessings,
