Laundry Room Update

I love spending money on new appliances!

Said no one EVER!

Honestly, If you are going to spend that kind of money wouldn’t you rather go on a vacation or a shopping spree?!

I know I would.

Unfortunately, our washer was leaking, and along with the dryer they were both about twenty years old. Having raised three sons, both appliances have seen way too many laundry loads to count. We were definitely due for an upgrade.

My wants were simple. I wanted a washer with an agitator, stainless drum, and one big enough to wash my queen sized bedding. I wanted a top loader, too. No front loader for me!

After much research and checking all my options out in the store, I decided on a set made by GE.

The washer is big! I have to stand on my tippy toes to reach the bottom, but I love it! I mean in a way that you can love an appliance!

With such a pretty washer and dryer, now I needed to spend money on the fun stuff!

The decorating kind of stuff.

I painted the walls with Sherwin Williams Halcyon Green. It’s such a cheerful color!

I added some pictures, shelves, and a new laundry basket. The laundry basket comes in multiple colors and you can see it here.

Something else that I bought on a whim, that you HAVE to try, were some new laundry bags. They are perfect to wash lingerie but also work GREAT for washing all of our new 2020 accessory.....the facemask!

I added a piece of furniture that I previously used in another room. I like moving furniture around. It always seems to give an old piece a new look.

Mr. Mitten made me a cornice board for the window and the fabric is perfect!

The best part though…….adding this beautiful rug!! It's a mixture of the perfect colors and fits the space just how I imagined.

It was a quick and easy update and now that the décor fun is over…..I guess it’s time to do the laundry!

Peace and Blessings,

Kim
